1. Delete your account in the app
In 17VLT Community, open Account, choose Delete account, read the explanation and confirm. This is the fastest method because you are already signed in. Active Community sessions are revoked when the deletion completes.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you cannot access the app, email privacy@17vlt.com with the subject “17VLT Community account deletion request”. Send the request from the email associated with your account when possible and include your Community display name only if it helps us locate the correct account.
Never send us your password, one-time sign-in code, Apple or X token, private key or payment details. We may reply with a privacy-minimising verification step before acting on the request.
3. What deletion does
- deletes your Community profile and sign-in identities;
- revokes active mobile sessions and Apple authorisation where applicable;
- deletes your direct messages and Community Content;
- prevents the deleted identity from being used to restore the old Community account.
4. Limited records we retain
We retain only records needed for security, moderation, dispute resolution or legal compliance. Retained records are restricted, cannot authenticate or recreate the account, and do not retain your Community Content:
- moderation reports and abuse evidence: 3 years after closure;
- security and access logs: up to 12 months;
- Terms acceptance and token/mock Store audit records: 7 years;
- support and privacy request records: 3 years after closure;
- a server-only internal account identifier and deletion timestamp, retained only while a shared operational account or required integrity record exists to prevent restoration of deleted Community access;
- backup copies: overwritten or rendered inaccessible within 90 days.
A legal hold, active safety investigation or dispute may require a longer period. Such data is not used to recreate your Community account. The deletion marker contains no email, sign-in provider identity, profile, Community Content or session credential.
5. Timing and confirmation
In-app deletion takes effect when you confirm and the app reports completion. For an email request, we first verify that the request concerns your account and then apply the same deletion operation without a discretionary waiting period. A completion notice is sent to the requesting email when possible.
